Prayer based on Psalms 62:9. Themes: Humility, Transience, Deception

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. I pray that you would help me to remember this truth in all aspects of my life. May I not put my trust in the things of this world, but instead, put my trust in you alone. Help me to remember that in the balances, we will all go up, and that we are together lighter than a breath. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the promises that you have given us. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.
Psalms 62:9

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that both men of low and high degree are fleeting and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It is a reminder that earthly status and power are temporary and ultimately meaningless.
