Dear Lord, please help me to always honor and respect my parents. May I never speak ill of them or curse them in any way. I pray that you would give me the strength and wisdom to love and care for them as they deserve. Please protect me from the darkness that comes from disobeying your command to honor our parents. Thank you for the gift of my parents and for the love and guidance they provide. Amen.

Verse: Whoever curses his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.
Proverbs 20:20
