Dear Lord, please help me to guard my tongue and not to be a tale-bearer who reveals secrets. Give me the wisdom to discern those who open wide their lips and to avoid keeping company with them. Help me to be a trustworthy and faithful friend who keeps confidences and builds up others. May my words always be seasoned with grace and bring honor to your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: He who goes about as a tale-bearer reveals secrets;therefore don’t keep company with him who opens wide his lips.
Proverbs 20:19
