Dear Lord, please help me to guard my mouth and my lips. May I never speak foolishly or say things that could lead to my own destruction. Help me to use my words to build up others and to bring glory to your name. Protect my soul from the snares of my own words and guide me in wisdom and discernment. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are a snare to his soul.
Proverbs 18:7
