Dear God, please give me the wisdom to recognize when someone is not receptive to my words. Help me to refrain from speaking to a fool, knowing that they will only despise the wisdom I have to offer. Instead, guide me to those who are open to hearing and learning from me. Amen.

Verse: Don’t speak in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.
Proverbs 23:9

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to speak to a fool because they will not appreciate the wisdom of their words.
