Prayer based on Proverbs 14:13. Themes: Sorrow, Joy, Deception
Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that even in laughter, my heart may be sorrowful, and mirth may end in heaviness. I know that life can be unpredictable and that joy can quickly turn into sadness. But I trust in your unfailing love and your promise to be with me through every season of life. Help me to find comfort in your presence, even when my heart is heavy with sorrow. May your peace and joy fill my heart, and may I always remember that you are with me, even in the midst of my laughter and my tears. Thank you for your faithfulness and your never-ending love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: Even in laughter the heart may be sorrowful, and mirth may end in heaviness.
Proverbs 14:13
This is a Promise. The verse is a warning that even when someone appears to be happy, they may be hiding sadness or pain, and that their joy may not last.
