Praying from Matthew 6:7 relating to Prayer, Humility, Faith
Dear God, as I come before you in prayer, I ask that you help me to avoid using vain repetitions. I know that the Gentiles believe that they will be heard for their much speaking, but I trust in your infinite wisdom and power. Please guide me in my prayers and help me to speak from my heart, with sincerity and humility. May my words be pleasing to you and may they bring me closer to your divine presence. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen.
Verse: In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:7
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to use vain repetitions in prayer, as the Gentiles do, as they think they will be heard for their much speaking.
