Dear God, we have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder,’ and ‘Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ We pray that you help us to honor this commandment and to value the sanctity of life. May we never take another’s life or harm them in any way. We ask for your guidance and strength to resist the temptation to act out of anger or violence. Help us to be peacemakers and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Amen.
