Dear Lord, as we come before you today, we remember the words of Jesus when he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “All of you drink it.” We ask that you bless this cup and all that it represents. May it remind us of your love and sacrifice for us. Help us to drink deeply of your grace and mercy, and to share it with others. May we always be grateful for your blessings and give thanks for all that you have done for us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

This is a Command. The command is for all of the disciples to drink from the cup.
