Prayer based on Matthew 25:35. Themes: Compassion, Hospitality, Service

Dear God,
As I come before you today, I am reminded of your words that say, “for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.” Lord, I pray that you would help me to be more like you in my daily life. Help me to see those who are hungry, thirsty, and in need of shelter, and give me the courage and compassion to reach out and help them. May I be a reflection of your love and kindness to those around me. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the opportunity to serve you in this way. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.
Matthew 25:35
