Prayer based on Matthew 26:2. Themes: Sacrifice, Redemption, Prophecy.

Dear Lord,

I thank you for the promise that you have given us through your Son, Jesus Christ. As we approach the Passover, I claim the promise that the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified. I know that this sacrifice was made for my sins, and I am grateful for the love and grace that you have shown me.

Help me to remember the sacrifice that was made for me, and to live my life in a way that honors you. May I always be mindful of the love and grace that you have shown me, and may I share that love and grace with others.

Thank you for the promise of salvation through your Son, Jesus Christ. May I always trust in your promises and live my life in a way that brings glory to your name.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.

Verse: “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
Matthew 26:2

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of what will happen in the future – the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.
