Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us in Matthew 24:27. Just as the lightning flashes from the east and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. I trust in your word and eagerly await your return. May I always be ready and prepared for your coming, and may I live my life in a way that honors and glorifies you. Thank you for the hope and assurance that your promise brings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
