Dear Lord, thank you for creating us in your image, as male and female. Help us to honor and respect the unique differences you have given us, and to celebrate the beauty of diversity. May we always remember that you are the one who made us from the beginning, and may we seek to follow your will in all things. Amen.

Matthew 19:4
This is a Command. The verse is a response from Jesus to the Pharisees who were testing him on the topic of divorce. Jesus is reminding them of God’s original plan for marriage, which was between one man and one woman. The command implied is to honor and uphold God’s design for marriage.
