Praying from Matthew 17:23. Themes: Resurrection, Sorrow, Sacrifice.

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the promise that you have given us, that even though they will kill you, on the third day you will be raised up. We claim this promise today and we believe that you are faithful to fulfill it.

We are sorry for the pain and suffering that you had to endure for our sake. We ask for your forgiveness for our sins and for the times when we have failed to live up to your expectations.

We pray that you will continue to guide us and strengthen us as we walk in your ways. May we always remember the sacrifice that you made for us and may we never take it for granted.

Thank you for your love and mercy, and for the hope that we have in you. We trust in your promise that you will be raised up on the third day, and we look forward to the day when we will be reunited with you in heaven.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Amen.
