Praying from Matthew 15:18. Themes: Heart, Words, Defilement.

Dear Lord, please help me to guard my heart and mind so that the words that come out of my mouth are pure and pleasing to you. May my speech be a reflection of the love and grace that you have shown me, and may it never be a source of defilement or harm to others. Help me to speak truth with kindness, to offer encouragement instead of criticism, and to always seek to build up those around me. Thank you for the power of words, and may I use them wisely and for your glory. Amen.

Verse: But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.
Matthew 15:18

This is a Command. The verse is instructing the reader to be mindful of the words they speak, as they reflect the condition of their heart and can have negative consequences.
