Prayer based on Luke 5:39. Themes: Tradition, Resistance to Change.

Dear Lord, I claim the promise that “No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’” I pray that I may always remember the goodness and faithfulness of Your ways, and that I may never be tempted to stray from Your path. Help me to trust in Your wisdom and guidance, and to always seek Your will above my own desires. May I find comfort and satisfaction in the old, familiar ways of Your love, and may I never be swayed by the allure of the new and untested. Thank You for Your unchanging love and grace, and for the promise that You will always be with me, guiding me along the path of righteousness. Amen.

Verse: No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘ The old is better.’”
Luke 5:39

This is a Promise. The verse is describing a natural tendency for people to prefer what they are used to, even if something new is offered.
