Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us in Luke 1:15. I pray that you make me great in your sight and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Help me to abstain from anything that may hinder my relationship with you, just as John the Baptist did not drink wine or strong drink. I pray that you fill me with your Spirit from my mother’s womb and guide me in all my ways. Thank you for your promise and for your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.
