Dear Lord, help us to understand the wisdom behind your words. May we not try to fit new things into old ways of thinking or doing things. Instead, may we be open to new ideas and ways of doing things, and be willing to adapt and change. May we not be afraid of the unknown, but trust in your guidance and direction. Help us to be vessels that can hold the new wine of your love and grace, without bursting or being destroyed. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled and the skins will be destroyed.
