Prayer based on Luke 2:38. Themes: Thanksgiving, Evangelism, Redemption

Dear Lord, as I come before you today, I am reminded of the woman who gave thanks to you at that very hour. I too want to give thanks to you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me. Help me to always remember to give thanks to you in all circumstances.

Lord, just as the woman spoke of you to all those who were looking for redemption in Jerusalem, I pray that I too may be a witness for you. Help me to share your love and grace with those around me, and to be a light in this world.

Thank you, Lord, for your never-ending love and mercy. May I always seek your will and follow your ways. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Coming up at that very hour, she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of him to all those who were looking for redemption in Jerusalem.
Luke 2:38

This is a Command. The reader is commanded to give thanks to the Lord and speak of him to others who are looking for redemption.
