Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that my father Abraham rejoiced to see your day and was glad. I claim this promise for myself today and ask that you would help me to see your presence and goodness in my life. May I also rejoice and be glad in you, knowing that you are always with me. Thank you for your faithfulness and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

John 8:56

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Abraham was happy to see the day of Jesus, implying that Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promises to Abraham.
