Dear Lord, I thank you for revealing your name to me and for choosing me out of the world. I know that I belong to you and that you have given me to Jesus. I pray that I may always keep your word and follow your commands. Help me to live a life that honors you and brings glory to your name. I claim the promise that you have given me to Jesus, and I trust that he will guide me and protect me always. Thank you for your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Jesus revealed God’s name to the people who were given to him by God, and that these people have kept God’s word.
