Dear Lord, I come to you today in the name of Jesus, as you have promised in your word. I thank you that I can ask anything in his name and you will hear me. I claim the promise that you will not only hear my prayers but also answer them according to your will. I trust that you will not leave me alone but will be with me always. Thank you for the assurance that I don’t need anyone else to pray for me, but I can come to you directly. I pray that you will help me to trust you more and more each day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is a promise that in the future, the reader will be able to ask in Jesus’ name without needing Jesus to pray to the Father on their behalf.
