Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have fulfilled in your word which says, “They hated me without a cause.” I pray that you will help me to trust in your sovereignty and purpose even when I face persecution or rejection without any reason. May I find comfort in knowing that you have gone before me and experienced the same. Help me to love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me, just as you did. Thank you for your faithfulness and for fulfilling every promise in your word. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘ They hated me without a cause.’
John 15:25
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Jesus being hated without a cause was a fulfillment of a prophecy in the law. There is no command given to the reader.
