Praying from Hebrews 12:8 relating to Discipline, Illegitimacy, Children.
Dear Lord, I pray that you would help me to embrace discipline in my life. I know that all of us have been made partakers of discipline, and I don’t want to be considered illegitimate or not a true child of yours. Please give me the strength and wisdom to accept correction and guidance, and to grow in my faith and character. Help me to see the value in discipline and to trust that it is for my good. Thank you for loving me and for always wanting what is best for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: But if you are without discipline, of which all have been made partakers, then you are illegitimate, and not children.
Hebrews 12:8
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to have discipline, otherwise they are not considered children.
