Prayer based on John 15:19. Themes: Separation, Persecution, Election

Dear Lord, I thank you for choosing me out of this world and setting me apart for your purposes. I claim the promise that because I am not of this world, the world may hate me, but I know that you love me and have called me to be your own. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to you, even if it means facing rejection and persecution from the world. May I always remember that my identity is found in you and not in the acceptance of this world. Thank you for your unfailing love and grace. Amen.

Verse: If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
John 15:19

This is a Promise. The verse promises that because the reader has been chosen out of the world, the world will hate them.
