Prayer based on John 1:36. Themes: Salvation, Redemption, Sacrifice.
Dear Lord,
As I look to you today, I am reminded of the words spoken by John the Baptist when he saw you walking towards him. He declared, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” I claim this promise today, knowing that you are the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
I thank you for your sacrifice on the cross, which has made it possible for me to have eternal life. I pray that you would help me to live a life that is pleasing to you, and that I would always remember the price that was paid for my salvation.
May I never forget the love that you have shown me, and may I always be grateful for your grace and mercy. Thank you for being the Lamb of God, and for giving me the gift of salvation.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
