Praying from James 5:5 relating to Luxury, Pleasure, Slaughter.

Dear God, please help me to resist the temptation of living in luxury and seeking pleasure at the expense of others. May I not nourish my heart as in a day of slaughter, but instead seek to live a life of compassion and kindness towards all those around me. Help me to be mindful of the impact my actions have on others and to always strive to do what is right and just. Amen.

Verse: You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
James 5:5
