Praying from Hebrews 11:4 relating to Faith, Sacrifice, Righteousness
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a heart full of faith, just like Abel. I pray that I may offer to you a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, one that is pleasing and acceptable in your sight.
I claim the promise that through my faith and obedience, I too may receive testimony that I am righteous. I pray that you would testify with respect to my gifts and offerings, and that through them, I may bring glory to your name.
Even if I am no longer alive, I pray that my life and my testimony may still speak to others, pointing them towards you and your love.
Thank you for the example of Abel and for the promise that through faith, we too can please you and receive your blessings. May my life be a living sacrifice to you, and may I always seek to honor and glorify your name.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
Verse: By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had testimony given to him that he was righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and through it he, being dead, still speaks.
Hebrews 11:4
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Abel’s faith and sacrifice were pleasing to God and that even though he is dead, his story still speaks to the righteousness that comes from faith.
