Praying from Colossians 2:8 relating to Deception, Tradition, Christ-centeredness.

Dear Lord, I pray that you would help me to be careful and discerning when it comes to the philosophies and teachings of this world. Protect me from being robbed of the truth by vain deceit and the traditions of men. Help me to always seek after you and your ways, rather than being led astray by the elemental spirits of this world. May my heart and mind be firmly rooted in Christ, and may I always follow his teachings above all else. Amen.

Verse: Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elemental spirits of the world, and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:8

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to be careful not to be deceived by human traditions and worldly philosophies, but to follow Christ instead.
