Dear Lord, help me to always recognize the true source of your blessings and never seek to buy or manipulate them with money or any other means. May I always honor and respect those whom you have chosen to be your messengers and never seek to use them for my own gain. Help me to trust in your grace and provision, and to always seek your will above my own desires. Amen.

This is a Command. The verse does not contain a promise. The command is implied and it is to not offer money for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
