Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heart full of faith and expectation. Just as the man in the Bible listened to those around him, expecting to receive something from them, I too am listening to your promises and claiming them for my life. I know that you are a God who keeps your promises, and I trust that you will fulfill every word that you have spoken over me. I thank you for your faithfulness and for the blessings that you have in store for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Acts 3:5
This is a Promise. The verse is describing the actions of a man who is expecting to receive something from others. There is no command given to the reader.
