Dear Lord, just as the commanding officer let the young man go and charged him to keep the information secret, I pray that you would charge me to keep your word and your will close to my heart. Help me to be faithful in keeping your commands and to share your truth with those who are ready to receive it. May I never betray your trust or reveal your secrets to those who are not ready to hear them. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”

This is a Command. The young man is commanded not to reveal the information he shared with the commanding officer.
