Dear Lord, just as the commanding officer approached and arrested the man, I pray that you would come near to me in my time of need. Bind me with your love and grace, and help me to understand who I am in your eyes. Guide me to do what is right and just, and give me the strength to face any challenges that come my way. Amen.

Verse: Then the commanding officer came near, arrested him, commanded him to be bound with two chains, and inquired who he was and what he had done.
