Praying from Acts 16:37. Themes: Justice, Persecution, Boldness.

Dear Lord,

Like Paul, I come before you today with a heavy heart. I feel beaten down and imprisoned by the trials and challenges of life. But just as Paul stood up for his rights as a Roman citizen, I too stand up for my rights as your child.

Lord, I pray that you will bring me out of this darkness and into the light of your love. I ask that you release me from the chains that bind me and set me free to live the life you have planned for me.

Help me to trust in your plan and to have faith that you will never leave me or forsake me. Give me the strength to face whatever challenges come my way, knowing that you are always with me.

Thank you for your love and your grace, and for the freedom that comes from knowing you. In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.

Verse: But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly without a trial, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison! Do they now release us secretly? No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us out!”
Acts 16:37

This is a Command. The command is for the authorities to come and release Paul and his companions themselves, rather than secretly.
