Praying from Acts 16:23. Themes: Persecution, Imprisonment, Faith
Dear Lord, we pray for those who are suffering persecution and injustice. Just as Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown into prison, we ask that you be with those who are facing similar trials today. May they find strength and comfort in your presence, and may their faith remain steadfast in the face of adversity. We also pray for those who are responsible for their imprisonment, that they may come to know your love and mercy. Finally, we ask that you protect and guide those who are working to bring justice and freedom to those who are oppressed. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely.

This is a Command. The verse commands the jailer to keep the prisoners safely.
