Dear God, I thank you for the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. I claim the promise that you have given this same gift to all who believe, regardless of their background or circumstances. Help me to trust in your sovereignty and not to resist your will. May I always remember that I am nothing without you and that you are the one who empowers me to live a life that honors you. Thank you for your grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: If then God gave to them the same gift as us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?”
Acts 11:17

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that God gave the same gift to the readers as he did to the people mentioned in the verse, and therefore, no one can withstand God.
