Praying from 2 Peter 3:10 relating to Judgment, Destruction, Renewal.
Dear Lord, I claim the promise that your day will come as a thief in the night. I pray that I will be ready for your return and that I will not be caught off guard. I trust that when that day comes, the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat. I pray that I will be found faithful and that my works will withstand the fire. Thank you for the promise that you will make all things new and that the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. I look forward to the day when I will be with you forever. Amen.
Verse: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat; and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
2 Peter 3:10
This is a Promise. The verse describes the future event of the day of the Lord, when the heavens and earth will be destroyed. There is no command given to the reader.
