Praying from 2 Peter 3:11 relating to Holiness, Godliness, Destruction

Dear Lord, as I reflect on the truth that all things will be destroyed, I am reminded of the importance of holy living and godliness. Help me to be the kind of person that you desire me to be. Strengthen me to resist temptation and to pursue righteousness. May my thoughts, words, and actions reflect your love and grace. Guide me in the path of holiness and help me to live a life that honors you. Thank you for your mercy and grace that enables me to live a life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Therefore, since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,
2 Peter 3:11

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to live a holy and godly life in light of the fact that all things will be destroyed.
