Praying from 1 Peter 4:2 relating to Obedience, Holiness, Purpose

Dear God, I pray that you help me to no longer live my life for the desires of the flesh and the temptations of this world. Instead, guide me to live according to your will and purpose for my life. Help me to resist the lusts of men and to seek after your righteousness. May my thoughts, actions, and words be pleasing to you and bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
1 Peter 4:2

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to stop living for the lusts of men and start living for the will of God.
