Praying from 1 Corinthians 7:14. Themes: Sanctification, Marriage, Family

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today claiming the promise in your word that the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. I thank you for this promise, for it gives me hope and assurance that my spouse and I are covered by your grace and mercy.

I pray that you would continue to work in our hearts and draw us closer to you. May our marriage be a reflection of your love and grace, and may we be a witness to those around us.

I also thank you for the promise that our children are holy because of our faith. I pray that you would continue to guide and protect them, and that they would come to know you as their Lord and Savior.

Thank you for your faithfulness and for the promises in your word. I trust in you and your plan for my life and my family.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
1 Corinthians 7:14

This is a Promise. The verse is assuring the reader that their unbelieving spouse is sanctified through their marriage, and as a result, their children are holy.
