Praying from Acts 17:29. Themes: God’s nature, Idolatry, Offspring
Dear God, as your offspring, I pray that we may never forget that your Divine Nature cannot be compared to any material object crafted by human hands. Help us to always remember that you are beyond our understanding and that we should approach you with reverence and awe. May we never be tempted to worship anything other than you, the one true God. Amen.
Verse: Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold, or silver, or stone, engraved by art and design of man.
Acts 17:29
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not think of the Divine Nature as being like gold, silver, or stone that is engraved by human art and design.
