Praying from Acts 17:28. Themes: God’s Sovereignty, Human Dependence, Divine Immanence

Dear God,

I come before you today, grateful for the promise that in you we live, move, and have our being. I claim this promise over my life and declare that every breath I take, every step I make, and every decision I make is rooted in you.

I thank you for the truth that we are also your offspring, created in your image and likeness. I pray that I may always remember this and live my life in a way that honors you.

May your presence be with me always, guiding me and leading me on the path that you have set before me. I trust in your love and faithfulness, knowing that you will never leave me nor forsake me.

Thank you for the gift of life and for the privilege of being called your child. I give you all the glory and honor, now and forevermore.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: ‘ For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘ For we are also his offspring.’
Acts 17:28

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that we exist because of God and are his offspring.
