Prayer based on Acts 5:28. Themes: Persecution, Boldness, Responsibility.
Dear Lord, I pray that I may have the courage to boldly proclaim your name and teachings, even in the face of opposition and persecution. May I never be deterred by those who seek to silence me, but instead may I continue to spread your message of love and salvation. Help me to remember that it is not my own strength, but your power working through me that can fill the hearts of others with your truth. May I never seek to bring harm to others, but instead may I always strive to bring them closer to you. Amen.
Verse: saying, “Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”
Acts 5:28
This is a Command. The verse is a statement made by the high priest and other religious leaders to Peter and John, commanding them not to teach in the name of Jesus.
