Prayer based on John 7:22. Themes: Covenant, Sabbath, Tradition

Dear Lord, we thank you for the gift of circumcision that Moses has given us, which is not of him but of our fathers. We pray that you bless us as we continue to follow this tradition and that it may always be done in accordance with your will. We also ask for your guidance as we observe the Sabbath and perform this sacred act of circumcision on a boy. May it be a reminder of our covenant with you and a symbol of our faith in your promises. Amen.

Verse: Moses has given you circumcision ( not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.
John 7:22
