Prayer based on John 7:19. Themes: Law, Rejection, Violence.
Dear Lord, we acknowledge that Moses gave us the law, but we confess that we have not always kept it. We ask for your forgiveness for our disobedience and shortcomings. Help us to live according to your will and to follow your commandments. We pray that we may not be like those who sought to kill Jesus, but rather, may we be filled with love and compassion towards others. May we always seek to do your will and bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: Didn’t Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?”
John 7:19
This is a Command. The verse is a rebuke to the people for not keeping the law and a challenge to their motives for seeking to kill Jesus.
