Prayer based on Acts 7:28. Themes: Justice, Violence, Redemption.

Dear Lord,

I come before you today with a heavy heart, feeling like I am being pursued by those who wish to harm me. But I know that you are my protector and my shield.

Help me to trust in your power and your love, even when I feel afraid. Give me the strength to face my enemies with courage and grace, knowing that you are with me every step of the way.

And when I am tempted to seek revenge or to lash out in anger, remind me of the words of Moses: “Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?” Help me to forgive those who have wronged me, and to show them the same mercy and compassion that you have shown me.

Thank you for your constant presence in my life, and for the peace that comes from knowing that you are in control. I pray all these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’
Acts 7:28

This is a Command. The verse is a question asked by Moses to the Israelites who were plotting to kill him. It is not a command or promise to the reader.
