Prayer based on Mark 13:24. Themes: Eschatology, Judgment, Prophecy.
Dear Lord,
As I read your word, I am reminded of the promise you made to us. You said that in those days, after the oppression, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light. I claim this promise today, Lord. I know that you are faithful to your word, and I trust that you will fulfill this promise in my life.
I pray that you will bring an end to the oppression that I am facing. I ask that you will shine your light on the darkness that surrounds me and bring me out of it. I know that you are the one who can make the sun shine again and the moon give its light. I trust in your power and your love for me.
Thank you for your promise, Lord. I know that you will never leave me nor forsake me. I trust in your goodness and your mercy. May your will be done in my life, and may your name be glorified forever.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
