Dear God, please help us to remember the sanctity of your house and to treat it with the respect it deserves. May we not turn it into a marketplace or a place of worldly transactions. Help us to honor you in all that we do and to keep your house a holy place of worship. Amen.

Verse: To those who sold the doves, he said,“Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”
John 2:16

This is a Command. The verse commands the sellers of doves to take their things out of the temple and not turn it into a marketplace.
