Praying from Matthew 2:11 relating to Worship, Gifts, Incarnation.
Dear Lord,
As we come into your presence today, we are reminded of the wise men who came to worship you. Just like them, we bow down before you and offer our hearts in worship.
We thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ, who came to save us from our sins. We pray that we may always remember the sacrifice he made for us and live our lives in a way that honors him.
Just as the wise men opened their treasures and offered gifts to Jesus, we too want to offer our best to you. We offer our time, talents, and resources to further your kingdom and bring glory to your name.
We claim the promise that as we seek you first, all these things will be added unto us. May we always put you first in our lives and trust in your provision.
Thank you for your love and grace that never fails. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
Verse: They came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Opening their treasures, they offered to him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 2:11
This is a Promise. The verse describes the wise men’s actions of worshiping and offering gifts to Jesus, but does not contain a direct command to the reader.
