Praying from 2 Peter 1:17 relating to Honor, Glory, Beloved Son.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given to your beloved Son. I thank you for the honor and glory that you have bestowed upon him, and for the voice that came from your Majestic Glory, declaring him as your beloved Son in whom you are well pleased. I pray that I too may receive this honor and glory through my faith in your Son, Jesus Christ. May I always seek to please you and live a life that is pleasing in your sight. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise of eternal life through your Son. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: For he received from God the Father honor and glory when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
2 Peter 1:17

This is a Promise. The verse is describing the honor and glory that Jesus received from God the Father when He was declared to be His beloved Son. There is no command given to the reader in this verse.
